Lezze Eddie

The term eddy indicates a cavity occupied by a calm pool of water which originates due to the action of floods in the presence of an obstacle such as a bank, an ancient river course or the bank of a dune. Due to the effect of a flood wave, the obstacle can break giving rise, with the turbulent motion of the water, to elliptical or circular depressions. The freshwater pond is located nearby the S.P. 30 Pettorazza-Ponte Passetto, on the ancient river course of Adigetto which in the Roman epoch connected Badia, Rovigo and Cavarzere. The fauna present is not particularly rich in species even if it possible to spot some birds such as the Moorhen, Grey Heron, the Mallard and a few puffins on their migratory way.
